POP-UP CLUBS
Student Pop-up Clubs
Where new interests take shape.
Student Pop-Up Clubs are elective, small-group career exploration experiences designed for middle schoolers who are curious and ready to explore something new.
Held after school and on select weekends, these focused sessions create space for deeper, hands-on engagement with careers students may not even know exist yet. Each club invites participants into the world of a specific profession, guided by local professionals who open the door to their tools, stories, and day-to-day work.
Students might:
Experiment with new skills
Create or build alongside experts
Ask detailed questions about career pathways
Discover roles and industries they’ve never heard of before
A minimum of one Pop-Up Club is offered each month during the school year, totaling eight experiences annually. More than 75 students choose to participate each year, stepping forward because something sparked their curiosity.
And often, they leave with a brand-new interest they didn’t walk in with.
Pop-Up Clubs expand horizons.
They introduce possibility.
They allow curiosity to rise up and take shape.
If you know a middle school student who would enjoy exploring what’s possible, tell them to watch for sign-up posters at SGMS and claim a spot when the next opportunity pops up.
Because sometimes the path you didn’t know about becomes the one that changes everything.
